Chat Topic: Does it make sense for West Bengal Government to pack Taslima Nasreen off to Jaipur?
A day after protesters' fury swept through the streets of Kolkata and the air was rent with cries of 'Go back Taslima Nasreen', the West Bengal Government packed the Bangladeshi author off to Jaipur on Thursday evening, citing a threat to her life. The ruling CPI-M leaders had earlier described Taslima as a threat to peace in the state. Is Taslima that big a problem? Is West Bengal right in throwing her out of the state? Author-filmmaker Ruchir Joshi will analyse the issue on the IBNLive chatroom at 4 pm on Friday.
