| mayur gawde:YEAH THAT"S TRUE THAT VIOLENCE IS NOT THE ANSWER TO EACH PROBLEM ,BUT PEOPLE LIKE LALOO & MULAYAM CAN CREATE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR OWN STATE , WHEN EVERY JOURNALIST TAKES A DIG AT RAJ THACKERAY ,WHY DOES NOBODY QUESTIONS MR.DESHMUKH ABOUT JOB RESERVATION FOR THE SONS OF SOIL . IT HAS BEEN APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS SINCE RAJ THACKERY TOOK THE ISSUE OF JOB RESERVATIONS FOR THE MAHARASHTRIANS , WHY HAS MR LALOO AND MR DESHMUKH HAVE WASTED SO MUCH TIME IN SOLVING THIS ISSUE ,HENCE THAT VERY OLD SAYING "LATHO KE BOOTH BATO SE NAHI MANTE " JUSTIFIED, AND IF THE JORNALIST ARE SO MUCH CONCERNED ABOUT THE COUNTRY THEN WHY ARE THEY SLEEPING ,WHEN A PERSON ATTACKING A PARLIAMENT HAS NOT BEEN HANGED FOR 4 YEARS. |
Rohit Chandavarkar:
| Mohan:On one hand India is going to launch moon rocket and on other hand people like Raj Thakrey wants to take India back to stone age, a true Marathi's head is hanged in shame due to acts of people like Raj. |
Rohit Chandavarkar: The debate about Locals Vs Migrants is on in countries that have reached the moon too.. United States sent a man on moon in 1969 and today when there is economic crisis they are sacking the migrants first... So I dont think the debate about whether locals or migrants should get jobs has anything to do with going to the moon..
| vishal kishnani:He should be declared a National Terrorist |
Rohit Chandavarkar: Actually a regional one !
| Mansi Upreti:High court should put a complete ban on MNS along with Gag order for Raj. this is not the way a common man should be harrased that we start living in fear all the time. do you think High court will give such a ruling? |
Rohit Chandavarkar: No I dont think any High Court will give any such ruling..
| Gabriel:I think there should be more stern steps taken on parties like MNS, KRV, and other regional groups- who want ot make political gains out of people issues. BAN all of them and punish them with life term of public service- Like cleaning roads, public toilets, working in fields, in Govt hospitals and all stuff..
These guys damage the smooth flow of the society, affect our integrity, and spoil the power of youth by misleading them... |
Rohit Chandavarkar: sometimes an organisation that is operating as an extreemist group today can be the party in political power tomorrow...It all depends on what majority of the people want..
| Naval:The whole activity or a protest by group of people can be easily classified as political gain or social gain or legal gain or combination of both or all three. Raj;s agitation is surely a political cum social policy. But his arrest is legal, coz he is booked under the law. Does our brothers and sisters say that the law must be twisted at the behest of his rising popularity? If so, can it be rest assured that he can maintain law and order if he gains seats in Vidhan Sabha? |
Rohit Chandavarkar: History shows that behaviour of politicians changes completely from time to time...Raj Thackeray's uncle also raised similar issues for a long time but when he came to power in Maharashtra he could not achieve much
| ashwin:At least in this matter, of non-Maharashtrians from Bihar attempting to get unskilled jobs in the Western railway in Mumbai, Raj Thakeray is justified in seeking priority in jobs for Mahrashtrians. Laloo Yadav and his predecessor Nitish Kumar played dirty politics by surreptitiously pushing their native Biharis into unskilled railway jobs in Maharashtra and Karnataka. As in any other location the world over, locals must be given preference for jobs - particularly where the qualification bar is low (like in unskilled jobs). Whether Raj Thakeray's MNS should have resorted to violence - well, that is a debatable point. |
Rohit Chandavarkar: Some valid points but violence is not the answer
| Sreenivas:Hi Rohit, Don't you think a regional imbalace has been created which has triggered this kind of suituations and forced the local people to support these kind of activities. A small example is Bihari's being occupied all Railway jobs not only in Maharashtra but also in many parts of India. It is not that Bihari's are alone very talented people, but seeing the percentage of the railway jobs they got clearly shows that it is a politically driven which has created this kind of suitutaion. Now it is not only Maharastra, but many other states are getting to drive all these Bihari's away. It clearly shows that our Railway minister has mis utilized his power and created this big havoc. Dont you think so ? |
Rohit Chandavarkar: I partly agree with you but violence cannot be justified...The economic imbalance and its effects is something that happened over a long period of time
| prasanna gawade:I guess Maharashtra goverment has made HERO out of Raj . They should have handled the issue much earlier . People all across Maharashtra will symphathize with Raj . This will create mpre havoc around Maharashtra . |
Rohit Chandavarkar: yes they have ended up doing that..
| Rohit Agarwal:If it's OK for Maharashtrians to beat up people form other states - simply because they are taking away the jobs in that state ---- is it also OK for Americans, Britishers, and the rest of the western world to beat up EVRY INDIAN in their country because they did the same? |
Rohit Chandavarkar: No absolutely not ok for anybody to do this
| moin:Raj Thackeray has done worse in the past for pure political gains. Its very early to suggest that he has got a taste of his own medicine |
Rohit Chandavarkar: One must understand that Raj is following the footsteps of his uncles footsteps.. It remains to be seen if he can achieve what his uncle Bal Thackeray did in his political career
| Shiladitya:Yes he's tasted the medicine finally. What is unfortunate is our political bankruptcy and spineless politicians could not make him taste it earlier. Do you sincerely believe that our politicians will ever be able to rise above vote-bank politics, and deliver what they are elected for? |
Rohit Chandavarkar: I agree with you
| davinder:can we become super power ever if it continues to happen? instead of helping public property we are damaging. seems like Maha GOVT is puppet |
Rohit Chandavarkar: Govt only represents people... In this case the Government of Maharashtra is taking steps only after factoring in possible public reactions
| keshav:In such situations can't the police take an order directly from the top cops? Or do they still have to wait for official permissions from the politicians. |
Rohit Chandavarkar: Well the police can take orders from top cops but in most cases the top cops take orders from politicians !!!
| Pankaj:Who the hell is he? he must be dealt firmly so that we can avoid such future recurrance. No one is above law and law will take its own course. He is doing such things for vote bank politics and does not have anything to do for the society. |
Rohit Chandavarkar: Yes I agree MNS has not done anything positive for the society
| Poornima Mendon:Raj is yet to taste his medicine. This is a political stunt to gain mileage, but now these simple stunts will not do. What is the point hitting those who have come to appear for the railway exams are they to blame for the state of affairs you are in. What is Raj doing for the locals besides pelting stones and letting them vent anger on the middle class public and worsening the system. The people who support him are probably the locals who are class 4 employees, I have not heard of any educated person who is a part of MNS. The common man himself will not agree to this gundagardi. He must be produced in the court from where his arrest orders have been issued. |
Rohit Chandavarkar: Whether political stunts work or not is a question that can be answered over a period of time... In case of many politicians these kinds of stunts have worked
| Santosh:Its the media which is responsible? Any understanding media will concur that Raj Thackerey is nobody but a goonda. But the media villifies him, follows his trails and makes hima Raja ...why cant you guys ignore such people right from the start? I dont think it will reduce your TRP ratings if you dont cover the entire Thackerey clan |
Rohit Chandavarkar: If there is violence on streets should the media not report it..Just by hiding facts or not showing what is happening out on the streets we cannot ensure anything.
| Sanjeev:It is high time Raj Thackeray gets his lessons on INDIA refreshed, it is unfortunate that we get warm welcome in countries abroad and our own countrymen beat/kill us |
Rohit Chandavarkar: The debate over locals vs migrants is on all over the world, basically its an economic issue not political
| Kiran Nair:No I do not think Raj T has learnt any lesson. Which politician does , may I ask. Raj T is immature and trying to establish a name for himself . I am sure he is aware that the laws in India does "really take its own course and time" so why worry because no conviction will take place before 30 years . It is only you presswallahs who give such irresponsible politicians front page coverage which increases their "brand equity" . Take Mamata for example, she is already planning her next "ouster" game openly . |
Rohit Chandavarkar: I agree with you
| akshay012:i think most of the maharashtrians are not interested in govt/public services as there is a lot of scope for private growth in the state. Same is not true for Bihar. Doesnt MNS understand this? |
Rohit Chandavarkar: The politicians from bihar also have to create job opportunities in private sector
| Puneet:Why was he not arrested last time? Why doesn't the govt. take action before the situation gets out of hand? |
Rohit Chandavarkar: He was arrested last time that was in February...But he was granted bail by the court...The government is scared that he may gain political milage if he is arrested.
| gunnis:I think Raj is a NCP stooge who has been propped up to cut down Shiva Sena and BJP to size. By arresting him today they have prevented him being taken to jamshedpur for that NBW. Like all propped stooges this one too will turn and bite the handlers |
Rohit Chandavarkar: I think you have hit the nail on its head..I agree with all the three things you have said, yes NCP is using him against Shiv Sena
| Madhav S:What is the reason this kind of add is not publishing in Maharashtra? What is the exect reason to most of the candidate selecting form only north India . Why not form Maharashtra and other state?.
Rohit Chandavarkar: Railway minister and his department have to look into this issue...
